Who Would Have Thought 51 {End}Enjoy!!!
Who Would Have Thought 10 years later Hayley P.O.V. I sighed in contentment as I snuggled closer to Josh's body before kissing his chin, watching as the fireworks explode in the night sky. It was the fourth of July and the night was almost ending. I watched as the triplets, Caleb, Scarlett, and Mia, ran around the back yard carrying sparklers, twirling around the night sky. I had been a bit hesitant about letting them play with it since they are only eight years old, however, Josh had been distracting me by giving me small kisses and whispering random things in my ear. I bit my lip when I witnessed Scarlett try to touch Caleb with the sparklers. I wiggled a bit in Josh's arms, trying to escape, but instead of letting me go, he wrapped his strong arms tighter around me, kissing below my ear. "Just relax hon," he whispered, hugging me to his chest. "She was just teasing. Plus, shouldn't you be more worried about Charlie and Matthew? They're re much younger than the triplets." "There sparklers keep on disintegrated because they like pouring water over it and stomping them on the ground. I'm more worried with Scarlett than anyone else. Ever since she figured out they can be dangerous, she has been trying to hurt people with it." Josh didn't say anything as he thought about it for a second, tracing his fingers on my palm. I watched as he cleared his throat and knew what was coming up next. "Scarlett," he yelled loudly, making her turn around. "Touch anyone with that sparkler and I will take away your Jonas Brother's CD for the day." Scarlett's eyes widen in fear before her mouth turned into a pout, clearly annoyed. She quickly spun around and started stomping to the area where Charlie and Matthew were and put her sparkler on the ground, before stomping it furiously on the ground. Josh chuckled in my ear. "Works every time." I shook my head, as I rested my head on Josh's chest, feeling a bit better about the situation. "You are so mean." "Parenting isn't ever easy." "You just wanted an excuse to take away her Jonas Brother's CD." "She plays it all the time," Josh admitted sheepishly. "I've got nothing against the band, but hearing it 24/7 is kind of bothersome." This time, I let out a chuckle as I kissed his cheek. His innocent expression was so cute. Josh and I had been happily married for ten years. Sure, we had some fights here and there. And once, I threw an apple at him in frustration and it hit his crotch which made him fall on the floor and complain for the rest of the day, but for the most part we had a very beautiful marriage. The triplets, Caleb, Scarlett, and Mia were born two years after my marriage with Josh. We had been trying after a couple of months after the wedding but it took a while until I was pregnant. At one time, we were close to considering adoption, but Josh wanted to keep trying... actually, it was all he wanted to do...go figure. Anyway, after I was announced pregnant, we were pretty excited; we were finally going to start the family we have always talked about and have a kid; it was a dream come true. However, when Josh and I went to the doctor for the first sonogram, the doctor told us we were not have one child. Josh and I laughed, thinking we were having twins, but the doctor quickly corrected our thinking. Three children, triplets...who would have thought? The whole family was excited about the triplets and prepared us for parenthood. You have no idea how many toddlers Josh and I had babysat and changed diapers. By the time, the triplets were born we were pros. It was a pretty difficult pregnancy and at times I wasn't even sure I would make it. In spite of this, Josh filled me with hope and love which made everything so much better. When I went into labor, it was actually pretty easy compared to when I had Charlie, three years later, or Matthew, a year after Charlie. After Charlie, however, I didn't want any more children. Five seemed like a perfect number to stop at and being pregnant isn't the most easiest task. I actually had to convince Josh since he was still considering more children, but after a little debate and lots of kissing and caressing, Josh finally agreed. All the kids had Josh's brown hair except Scarlett who was a blonde and Matthew who was a red head. However, Scarlett, Caleb, and Charlie all had my bright green eyes, while Mia had Josh's big brown ones, and Matthew had a deep blue eyes that must have came from my mother's side of the family. I looked out in the yard and watched all five kids start running around in circles, abandoning the sparklers for a while, playing tag. "Beautiful, isn't it," he whispered, looking at them. I nodded my head before burying it in his chest, sighing deeply. Even after 10 years of being married to Josh, I'm still am passionately in love with him...maybe even more. His voice always makes my heart flutter, his smile automatically brings one to my lips, his touch drives every cell in my body crazy. It only takes him one simple movement or phrase and I am putty in his hands. If you add the puppy dog face in the miss then I'll be completely screwed. He is still has irresistible since the first day we got together. Josh says the same thing about me. I felt his chin rest on top of my head, sighing deeply as he hugged me closer to his body for more warmth. I don't know how many times I have told him that I can't imagine my life without him in it. Every time he goes to a business trip for his job at Fuel By Ramen, we both become anxious and edgy until we can see each other once again. It drives Jenna off the wall, but it just reassures me that his feelings will never change no matter how far apart we are. Jenna... I am so happy that the name doesn't bother me as much as it use to. After the two and a half week honeymoon Josh and I had after we got married, Josh went back to work; forgetting about the accident that almost ripped up apart. When he opened the door to his office, he found Jenna in his office, looking solemn. He was about to walk away when she ran up to him and apologized for all the bad things she had said and thought about me and Josh and I relationship. She admitted she was jealous and selfish and only thought of her feelings, not considering mine...or even his. Josh was hesitant to accept but after a couple of days of thinking about it, he did. They aren't friends, but they aren't enemies either. Josh said they just have a simple relationship...co workers... and I was glad for that. "I love you," I whispered, looking up at him Josh looked down at me with a smile. He was use to me stating my love for him for no reason at all. He does it all the time himself. "I love you too Hayles," he replied back before lightly pressing his lips to mine. I didn't want him to be gentle though. I ran my hands through his hair before kissing him deeper making Josh groan. "Ewww..."I heard Caleb protest. Josh and I quickly let each other ago, me blushing madly for being so forward while Josh chuckled, intertwining our fingers together. I looked up and saw Caleb staring at us with a disgusted expression. "Don't worry kiddo," Josh said with a smirk. "In a couple of years, it won't bother you that much. It might even become your favorite sport." I hit Josh on the chest as he laughed. But Caleb shook his head furiously, scowling. "It looks yucky. I don't think I will ever like doing that. Plus, isn't that stuff you are suppose to do in the bedroom or something." Josh narrowed his eyes as he stared at Caleb, a look of disapproval on his face. "And where may I ask did you develop that catch phrase from? You're only eight." "Uncle Jeremy," replied Caleb with a grin. "He's been teaching me lots of stuff." I didn't think it was possible but Josh's eyes narrowed a bit more. "Like what?" "Um..." started Caleb, putting his hand on his chin as he thought about it. "Stuff you teach me, but the unedited version...well at least that's what Uncle Jeremy says." "You got to be kidding me," Josh muttered, closing his eyes. "Nope," replied Caleb, popping the P. "Isn't it great?" "No, it's sh-" "I think you should go back and play," I quickly interjected, hitting Josh once more on the chest. Caleb just shrugged as he headed back to the kids, completely forgetting about the conversation. I turned back to Josh, my hands on my hips has I looked him up and down. He knew damn well not to utter one cuss word in front of the kids. "I'm going to kill Jeremy," Josh muttered, shaking his head. "Why the hell did he teach Caleb that? "That's because I am the cool uncle that all the kids love," a voice said behind us. Josh and I jumped before turning around, where Jeremy was standing with his wife, Sarah, and his only son Daniel who was already running up to the kids. "How's it going newlyweds?" he asked, before squeezing himself between Josh and I. "We've been married for ten years," reminded Josh, trying to push Jeremy away. "I don't think we can be called newlyweds anymore." "I bet it feels like that in the bedroom," snickered Jeremy, hitting Josh in the chest. Josh gave him a murderous glare. "Oh come on, you can't keep all that happiness by yourself. You've got to share the wealth." "I hate you," muttered Josh, still trying to push Jeremy away. "I just bring out your inner manliness," Jeremy stated, resting his head on the lawn chair, accidently pushing me to the end of the seat. "You can be such a wuss sometimes." Josh growled, shaking his head yet again. I rolled my eyes at the two before getting up and standing next to Sarah who was watching the kids play around the yard. "I'm so sorry for my husband's idiotic behavior," she started, laughing a bit. "He's just in a good mood because we just came from his favorite BBQ place this afternoon." "Well, everybody loves BBQ," I agreed, folding my arms across my chest. "It's like the best food since-" I "DANIEL!!!!" I heard Scarlett yell, running towards him with arms opened wide. Oh no. "DANIEL," she yelled again, wrapping her arms around him and rubbing her face against his chest. "You're back, you're back, you're back." I watched Daniel's smile change into a grimace as he patted Scarlett on the head, trying to gently push her away. "How's it going kiddo?" he asked her. "Great," replied Scarlett, looking up at him with eyes opened wide. "...now that you are here." Damn. I turned to the direction to where Jeremy and Josh were sitting, and noted that Josh was already gone. I looked back at the yard and watched as Josh stormed towards Daniel and Scarlett, looking pissed off. Please don't explode. Please don't explode. Please don't explode... "Hands off of my little girl," Josh exclaimed pushing Daniel and Scarlett away from each other. "With pleasure," I heard Daniel mutter loudly, rubbing his stomach. "What?!" Josh exclaimed, turning towards Daniel, glaring down at him. "Is my little girl not good enough for you?" "Josh," I called, quickly running to the yard, getting in front of him and Daniel. "Please calm down babe, your overreacting." "Overreacting," he repeated, looking down at me. "He freaking molested her." "I think it was the other way around," Daniel muttered again. "Are you kidding me?" exclaimed Josh, turning back to Daniel. "Are you calling my daughter a molester?" "This is getting ridiculous," I yelled, pushing Josh away from Daniel. "He's twelve years old for crying out loud." "Less than one year before he becomes a hormonal teenager," explained Josh, glaring at Daniel. "He is not getting near my baby, I swear to it." "But I love him," exclaimed Scarlett, stomping her foot. "We plan to get married the day I turn 18 and have a bunch of babies and live a dream home in Malibu. We have it all planned out." "Oh god," groaned Josh, putting his hand on his chest. "I think I'm going to get a heart attack." "Better believe it daddy," continued Scarlett, glaring at him. "Daniel is going to be your new son-in-law weather you like it or not." "Son-in-law," Josh repeated in disbelief. "Are you trying to kill me sweetheart? You are only 8 years old. What do you know about marriage?" "Well..." started Scarlett, tapping her chin. "I guess Daniel and I will figure it out when we elope on my 18th birthday." "18th birthday," mused Josh, looking down at Scarlett. "We'll see about that." "What do you mean by that?" asked Scarlett, stomping her foot again. "You're not going to ground me, are you?" I rolled my eyes at the two as I turned to where Daniel had disappeared too. He was sitting on the lawn chair with Caleb, laughing at something he said. Mia was still running around the yard with the sparkler, spinning around .Daniel's eyes wondered of to her and his eyes shined in amusement. Mia was still twirling around when her sparkler dropped on the ground. Her shoulders slump in disappointment. In no time Daniel was behind her, a new sparkler at hand. He could be such a gentleman sometime. I honestly don't mind if he becomes an in law. Mia smiled at him and took the sparkler from his hands, looking excited. She then grabbed Daniel's free hand and started dragging him around the yard, making him laugh. I had a feeling that something interesting would happen to them in the future. However...if Josh or Scarlett found out... I turned back to him and Scarlett and noted they were still bickering, this time about bed time. They can be so oblivious sometimes. I looked around for Caleb and found him sitting on the lawn chair with Sarah, giving her his heart breaking smile. Caleb had a small crush on Sarah and was working on a plot to try to get her to fall out of love with Jeremy, and in love with him. It was going unsuccessful so far. "P-A-R-T-Y!!!" I heard a familiar voice yell. Josh and Scarlett abruptly stopped arguing and turned to the direction to where it was coming from. Taylor and his pregnant wife Madison, were standing there with Taylor was holding his three year old son, Jayden, who was sucking his thumb and looking around the yard like he doesn't want to be here. Faith, his eldest daughter, who was only a one year younger than Scarlett was running towards the yard, a sparkler already in her hand. Zac came up behind him, holding his little 5 month year old girl, Joy, making funny faces and baby sounds to her. Blake and Jackson, he and Emily's two eldest sons were right behind him, running towards Daniel and Mia, probably wanting to play with the sparklers. Emily was right behind him, taking a seat to where Madison and Sarah were now sitting. I grabbed Josh and pulled him away from Scarlett, who were now arguing about the best band of year, and dragged him to the table that everybody was sitting at. We almost reached the table when the gate to the yard opened, and a thin blonde headed girl appeared in the distance, waving her hands frantically. Josh looked confused right now, but then realization came upon his feet. "Oh crap," Josh muttered. "I forgot I invited her." "Is she an old girlfriend," laughed Jeremy, getting up from his seat. "You go dog." The slender, blond headed girl started walking towards us, a huge grin on her face. She seemed preppy and had a jump to her step. She looked around her early 20's. I tilted my head to the side. "Who is she?" I asked, looking up at Josh. "I don't think I have ever seen her in Franklin before." Josh was about to answer, but before he could, the peppy blonde girl finally reached us. "Hi ya'll," she greeted. Josh nodded his head, giving her a polite smile. "Glad you could make it. I wanted to introduce you to my family and some of the people of FBR before you start working on Monday. I hope you didn't mind the last minute invitation." "Don't worry," said the girl, shaking her head. "I'm new to this town anyway. It's not like I have anything better to do." "You sure you're not an ex-girlfriend of Josh," commented Jeremy, glancing at Josh. "I know he has a thing for blondes." Josh glared at him as the girl laughed. "You must be the infamous Jeremy I have heard a lot about," stated the girl, turning around to face Jeremy. "It's nice to meet you," she said, putting her hand up for a handshake. "It's nice to meet you-"Jeremy trailed off as he looked up at the blonde woman and just froze. His mouth gaped open as he stared at her, his eyes wide. Josh and I glanced at each other quickly, hoping to god that the look on Jeremy's face wasn't the one that we had in mind. Josh gently pushed Jeremy away, trying to break the awkward silence with a laugh. "Come on Jeremy. I told you her name before. Her name is Lee...Jesse Lee, the new member of Fuel by Ramen, remember?" "Uh..." Jeremy stuttered, still staring at Jesse Lee. I turned to Jesse Lee and saw that she was staring at Jeremy too, blushing madly. Well...
Crap. ____________________________________________ IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT FUTURE FANFICS (AND POSSIBLE OUTAKES): Well...I guess you guys already figured I'm making a sequel. Since I started the wedding chapter, I had been debating whether or not to have a sequel and almost didn't make it, however, when I thought about adding a little bit more drama I thought why not. I'm actually pretty excited about the next series. I already have the banner and chapter one is almost done. That's why I didn't put the word epilogue on the title since I just opened up a new can of problems instead of just concluding the story. In addition to that, I also have outtakes from the story Who Would Have Thought. I save all of my work and I do me ALL. Originally, I had planned those parts to be in the story, but they didn't work out and in the end I had a couple of pages of 'could have been' and 'should have been.' I was thinking about posting them but I want to hear your opinion about it too. Also, after all that, I want to do a Q &A. I know I am super late with that, but I really wanted to finish Who Would Have Thought before I considered posting anything else. In the Q & A I also plan to reveal a fanfic I plan to upload very soon. I'm super excited about it and think you guys are going to love it too. In the Q & A I'll reveal the banner and a couple of days after that, I will post the first chapter and if you guys like it, I'll continue it, if not then I will just focus on the sequel for Who Would Have Thought instead of working on two fanfics at the same time. So here's the first step... Do you want me to post the outtakes to Who Would Have Thought or not?
